I have been quiet lately and I am sorry. Hopefully you will be able to reach me most days because now that all the kids are back to school, I actually have a few hours to myself each day. I have had a child at home for the past 18 years, so I am just taking my new found empty hours as they come!
I have plenty of time now for sewing cloth diapers! I have had diaper cuts ready to be sewn together for months that I just haven't had the time for, but now there will be no procrastinating. I am going to try to get everything I have cut already sewn in the next month or two. This means I will be limiting my custom orders. If you need something sewn, I might be able to fit it in, just ask. I should be able to continue doing custom embroidery on dipes and covers that are sent to me, but if I get too busy I will limit that as well so that the turnaround time isn't too long.
So, look for me to be stocking some more organic bamboo/cotton velour (OBcV) fitted dipes both with and without embroidery, print/OBcV fitteds, and embroidered PUL and Minkee covers as well as a few in wool interlock. I think I also have some embroidered Minkee reversible pant cuts around here somewhere that I will be putting together. Should be a few fun months of sewing!

Whitewater!
This really has nothing to do with sewing or embroidery, but this past weekend I decided I needed a break and my daughter and I went rafting on the Salmon River...the infamous River of No Return. We headed down to Riggins, Idaho with a group of friends, two rafts, and two days to spend. We made one run on Friday afternoon, camped on the white sandy beach and then managed to get two runs in on Saturday. Here are a few pics from Saturday...this one is our first trip of the day in Class III rapids called Time Zone which are just before Time Zone bridge (it's the bridge that divides northern Idaho and Pacific time from southern Idaho and Mountain time just as you enter Riggins).
That's your's truly "riding the bull" at the bow of the raft. Lots of fun...and I stayed on! Wooohooooo!!
Later that run we hit a set of rapids we call Thayne's Folly (after another friend who got sucked under and didn't reappear for about 20 seconds) which dumped out all of our other crew members and terrified my daughter because we got stuck in a "keeper" or hole and the raft was spinning like mad but not going anywhere and in danger of tipping us out backwards over the rocks. I finally decided we were going to have to jump out of the raft to get out of the hole. We shifted our weight in preparation to jump, the raft popped free, and we were able to traverse the rest of those rapids and pick up our lost crew. Whew! We are both bruised and battered, but it was worth it!
The second trip that day my daughter (yes, she actually conquered her fear and got back in the raft, I was so proud of her!) and I were on either side of the rear...you can't see us because we were covered by 3 feet of water. It was over 110 degrees that day and the water was a blissful 50 degrees. Very refreshing! hahaha oh...and no one got launched this trip!

Mansquito
Hi Kendra! I wasn't able to get you to log in...and now I am going to head out for dinner, but I plan to do your tee tonight when I get back, so please comment and let me know if this design is what you were thinking. Ignore the jump threads and color of the text, those will be the correct colors in light olive for the Manaconda and medium silver grey for the second line.
Click the pics to enlarge. :)

*Edited to add the finished pic. I changed the light olive to a medium khaki because it was looking better with the grey tee. Will have it on it's way tomorrow. Run it through a few wash/dry cycles so it will lose it's stiffness, and then trim the backing to where it suits you before the big day. I usually trim it within about a 1/4 inch of the design, but it's better if it gets washed a few times first.
Let me know how he likes it! :)

Stocking preview for Thursday, August 14
I have been working on some fun print fitted diapers the past few weeks as I have had time and will be stocking my Hyena Cart this Thursday. This stocking will be just for the girls with some fun stripes and dots, everyone's favorite strawberry friend, a drama queen, and a few sweets for your little sweetie.
Along with the cute prints, there will be a few with super plush Minkee inners, but most will have oh so soft organic bamboo/cotton velour (the good stuff that won't get crunchy), and even one that I have hand dyed in green and pink camo for that favorite US Marine in your life.
I have also made some matching embroidered covers, and a swing back dress for a few of the dipes. Here is just a small sneak peek!

Fluff princess
Leah picked some great designs for her little fluff princess. I think the poodle is going to become one of my favorite designs! It's just too cute.
Bum Genius.

These will be going out in Monday mornings mail unless you want me to hold onto them for a pillowcase dress. I do have a few green prints, but only these palm trees with just green and white. You can always go shopping for the perfect fabric (who doesn't like to do THAT? haha) and send it to me. Jlmk. :)

Real men DO wear pink!
I just love a momma who doesn't worry much about stereotypes and will put pink on her baby boy! :)
Mel, I will have this out to you in tomorrow mornings mail. I hope you enjoyed your vacation!
