Dragons and pirates

I have these ready to go out tomorrow Teresa (as well as your Zany Zebra elastic repair). I apologize for the delay. I have had a few things going on this past week that were unexpected. I hope you enjoy them!

Change of plans

I have moved up my plans to take a small break (for a variety of reasons) and am going to be closed to custom orders starting now. I will be finishing up everything in my current list within the week...hopefully. I have gotten behind schedule and I apologize. Life is just crazy right now and I need some time to get caught up with everything, so I will be working like mad to get everything finished and out the door this week.

My current thinking is that I will be ready for customs again in August, so I will keep everyone posted here about that. I will also still be stocking both my HC and my Etsy if time allows. Thanks for your patience and understanding in this. :)

Hooray for Southwest!

My two oldest children are on a plane headed home, so I will be leaving in a bit to make the drive to the airport, and then I plan to take them to a late lunch at one of our favorite spots in Spokane, Frank's Diner.

It is a refurbished rail car, chock full of history, that has THE best burger in the world. No joke, they have the most outstanding burger I have ever wrapped lips around (and for those that know my carnivorous tendencies, that's saying a LOT!). It's a greasy combo of butter grilled buns, a juicy 1/3 lb patty, American cheese and two thick strips of bacon. What really makes this burger the bomb is the MOST amazing barbeque sauce on this planet. If you are ever in Spokane, head downtown to Frank's and order the Milwaukee Flyer, you won't be disappointed!

I will be back late this afternoon to answer emails and IM's, but just wanted to let Cheryl and Stefanie know that your packages are on the way!

Teresa, I have two of your dipes finished and will be working on the other three tonight and tomorrow, so they should be back into the mail Friday.

Stacy, I am almost done with the last dress and it should also go into the mail Friday.

Have a good day everyone!

Sweet birthday treat!

Someone is about to celebrate her birthday, and what could be more adorable than this pretty dress from Pink Princess Couture on Etsy? A matching diaper cover was needed, so Christina from Diaper Change sent me a cut of yummy hot pink dot Minkee, Stefanie ordered some matching fabric and had it sent to me as well, and Viola! a beautiful keepsake birthday set. :)

Once this is made into a dipe, I would love to see it in action!

Ahhhhh, sunny St Vincent...

Warm sandy beaches, tropical breezes, a beautiful crystal clear ocean...this is St Vincent and the Grenadines. It is a small jewel of the Caribbean but full of British and French colonial history.

Can you imagine being able to live here even briefly? Leslie was able to, and was feeling a bit nostalgic after having her Penn P embroidered a few weeks ago, so she sent me another bit of fluff, this one is a JamTots BerryPlush Cover that I have embroidered the flag of St Vincent's onto. Thanks again Leslie, this one is headed for the mail right now, so look for it possibly Monday. Enjoy!

Celebrate the 4th

A sweet pillowcase dress with a matching pul/Minkee cover was on the agenda for today. Miss Saige is having her portraits taken next Tuesday and needed something festive for the event that would also serve double duty for the 4th of July. She will be watching the fireworks in style!

I will pop this into the mail for you tomorrow unless you want me to hold it for the other two dresses. I think I can have them done and into the mail Thursday which would get them to you Saturday...or latest, Monday. Just let me know!

*Edited to add these great pics of Saige in her outfit. I just love this sweet baby girl...she has the most expressive face! And I love her momma too. :)

A happy customer

I just love it when my friends and customers send me pics of their little ones in something I have made. Gives me warm fuzzies. :)

This beautiful baby is the daughter of my friend Stacy...who also got the Minkee lovies posted below. This dress and cover set were scheduled to go up in my HC stocking yesterday, but I sent it with the lovies and Stacy practically ran over her mailman in her excitement to open it this afternoon. hahaha!

When the lovies are out of the wash, Stacy said she would send another pic. Meanwhile, Saige looks beautiful, the mailman survived, and Stacy has had her first fluffy mail day in a LONG time. Welcome back to fluff, momma! :D

Minkee lovies to go...

At 11:30 last night, I got a desperate IM from my friend Stacy. Seems her baby girl has decided she must have a lovey to snuggle against her face...and if she doesn't have one, she is not a happy camper. Since they co-sleep, Stacy wanted something smaller than a blanket, but big enough to be comforting, so I made these 18" square. And...she wanted them yesterday because they are getting ready to go on a road trip! Nothing like a deadline to get me motivated!

So today I made these minkee lovies. Benartex makes absolutely the best minkee products, the blue is their aqua gelato and the orange is their citrus gelato. I have backed the blue one with a super soft, medium pile poodle fleece. The orange is a denser, low pile poodle fleece. The lovies are yummy!

I hope Saige loves snuggling into them. :)

Stocking preview for Sunday, June 15

It's been awhile, but I have been sneaking in some dyeing and embroidery time amongst the customs and am finally getting around to restocking my HyenaCart! I know, I know...it's been 3 months! hehe

There will be a few obv/obv fitted diapers, an obv/minkee fitted, and some sweet swingback crossover dress sets with embroidered covers. If time permits between now and then, there will be a few other things. I am also going to put up the Van Gogh fitted as an auction.

The embroidery designs on the fitteds include a colorful crab, bright sunflower, awesome shark, hot guitar, goldfish in a bowl, and some cute beach chicks doing what beach chicks do. Dress sets include Holly Hobbie, tropical beach, fun and funky floral, and a sweet treat. :)

Here is a pic to whet your appetite!

*Edited to add another action shot of one of these dipes!

Rock out!

When Kendra asked me if I could digitize the icons for the four faces of Kiss and make a pocket diaper for it to go on, I thought I would give it a try (after all, my husband is a HUGE Kiss fan!). Then she asked if I could also do the logo. Then it became 4 tees and the diaper! hahaha Taking a photo and turning it into an embroidery file is not something I do routinely, but I need the practice, and I think both these designs turned out great!

Pocket diapers are also not something I normally make, preferring to stick to fitteds and covers, but they are fun to put together. Mine are very trim front loading, side snap pockets. This one has an outer of black PUL and a red suedecloth inner with matching red stitching and snaps. The tee is your basic black tee.

Kendra, I hope you love this set! My mom got in on the action and put on the snaps...and was telling me all about Gene Simmons. My 60 year old mom knows more about him than I would have ever imagined!! hahaha

My oldest baby boy is graduating from HS tonight...sniff sniff, so I am going to do my best to get this one last tee finished and get your package out to you in the morning. Check back in the morning for another pic with everything in it. :)

It's 3am, but I have finally finished and will definitely have this out in the mail to you today...if I can wake up! hehe

**Edited to add this totally adorable picture of Kendra's little rock princess! She is working on the Gene Simmons face. hehe

Also, just letting everyone know, this set is a One-of-a-kind (OOAK) and I won't be making another like it...unless of course, Gene or one of the other band members contacts me wanting one ;) Thanks for understanding!

Little happy man!

Kristen gave me good news about Gavin today. :) His bone marrow aspiration has come back and he is in remission! And a bit ago, she showed me some new pics and I asked her if I could share them here. Just hearing the news and seeing that little dimpled smile after the awful month he has had, made me feel so happy! Here is Gavin playing with the leukemia awareness bracelets they ordered...if you want one, just visit Gavin's Caring Bridge website and email Kristen. :)

Gavin starts his next round of chemo in just a few days, so please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Leslie's P

The test stitch out went great and I did the embroidery on the diaper this afternoon. I am kinda enjoying digitizing designs...it's challenging and I am learning a lot! :)

Anyway, here is your dipe! The blue is a bit darker than the picture shows...maybe because of my flash.

I will get the embroidery sealed tonight and have it back on it's way in the morning. :)

**edited to add some pics that Leslie sent of her absolutely gorgeous baby in the dipe. Check out those EYES and dimpled smile!!

Fluffy mail for me! Updates

Cheryl, I received your absolutely adorable Garfield GAD and will get those extra snaps on it tonight and out in the mail to you tomorrow.

Leslie, I received your FB and have the "P" digitized and will do a test sew before I embroider your dipe. It should be finished tomorrow and back on it's way to you on Wednesday.

Kendra, I also received your box of tees and will get started on them this week. My mom is coming in on Thursday for DS's graduation, so I am aiming to have the tees as well as the 3D pocket dipe done while she is here (keeping her grandkids busy I hope!) and off in the mail to you by early next week.

Shannon, I am planning on getting your I-spy bag out in the mail by the end of the week.
