Mansquito

Hi Kendra! I wasn't able to get you to log in...and now I am going to head out for dinner, but I plan to do your tee tonight when I get back, so please comment and let me know if this design is what you were thinking. Ignore the jump threads and color of the text, those will be the correct colors in light olive for the Manaconda and medium silver grey for the second line.

Click the pics to enlarge. :)

*Edited to add the finished pic. I changed the light olive to a medium khaki because it was looking better with the grey tee. Will have it on it's way tomorrow. Run it through a few wash/dry cycles so it will lose it's stiffness, and then trim the backing to where it suits you before the big day. I usually trim it within about a 1/4 inch of the design, but it's better if it gets washed a few times first.

Let me know how he likes it! :)

Destination Switzerland!

Switzerland is a stunningly beautiful part of the world. Lake Lugano is my favorite part...a deep lake with mountains all around. It borders on Italy and is where my friend Paulo will be vacationing in a few weeks (lucky Dutchman)...but I digress! To go with her Penn "P" and her St Vincent flag dipes, Leslie wanted me to digitize the Swiss outline with the cross onto this Fuzzi Bunz pocket. I think it turned out pretty nice!

Leslie, I can repair the elastic on this dipe, or I can send it to you as-is. Just let me know!

Ahhhhh, sunny St Vincent...

Warm sandy beaches, tropical breezes, a beautiful crystal clear ocean...this is St Vincent and the Grenadines. It is a small jewel of the Caribbean but full of British and French colonial history.

Can you imagine being able to live here even briefly? Leslie was able to, and was feeling a bit nostalgic after having her Penn P embroidered a few weeks ago, so she sent me another bit of fluff, this one is a JamTots BerryPlush Cover that I have embroidered the flag of St Vincent's onto. Thanks again Leslie, this one is headed for the mail right now, so look for it possibly Monday. Enjoy!

Celebrate the 4th

A sweet pillowcase dress with a matching pul/Minkee cover was on the agenda for today. Miss Saige is having her portraits taken next Tuesday and needed something festive for the event that would also serve double duty for the 4th of July. She will be watching the fireworks in style!

I will pop this into the mail for you tomorrow unless you want me to hold it for the other two dresses. I think I can have them done and into the mail Thursday which would get them to you Saturday...or latest, Monday. Just let me know!

*Edited to add these great pics of Saige in her outfit. I just love this sweet baby girl...she has the most expressive face! And I love her momma too. :)

A happy customer

I just love it when my friends and customers send me pics of their little ones in something I have made. Gives me warm fuzzies. :)

This beautiful baby is the daughter of my friend Stacy...who also got the Minkee lovies posted below. This dress and cover set were scheduled to go up in my HC stocking yesterday, but I sent it with the lovies and Stacy practically ran over her mailman in her excitement to open it this afternoon. hahaha!

When the lovies are out of the wash, Stacy said she would send another pic. Meanwhile, Saige looks beautiful, the mailman survived, and Stacy has had her first fluffy mail day in a LONG time. Welcome back to fluff, momma! :D

Rock out!

When Kendra asked me if I could digitize the icons for the four faces of Kiss and make a pocket diaper for it to go on, I thought I would give it a try (after all, my husband is a HUGE Kiss fan!). Then she asked if I could also do the logo. Then it became 4 tees and the diaper! hahaha Taking a photo and turning it into an embroidery file is not something I do routinely, but I need the practice, and I think both these designs turned out great!

Pocket diapers are also not something I normally make, preferring to stick to fitteds and covers, but they are fun to put together. Mine are very trim front loading, side snap pockets. This one has an outer of black PUL and a red suedecloth inner with matching red stitching and snaps. The tee is your basic black tee.

Kendra, I hope you love this set! My mom got in on the action and put on the snaps...and was telling me all about Gene Simmons. My 60 year old mom knows more about him than I would have ever imagined!! hahaha

My oldest baby boy is graduating from HS tonight...sniff sniff, so I am going to do my best to get this one last tee finished and get your package out to you in the morning. Check back in the morning for another pic with everything in it. :)

It's 3am, but I have finally finished and will definitely have this out in the mail to you today...if I can wake up! hehe

**Edited to add this totally adorable picture of Kendra's little rock princess! She is working on the Gene Simmons face. hehe

Also, just letting everyone know, this set is a One-of-a-kind (OOAK) and I won't be making another like it...unless of course, Gene or one of the other band members contacts me wanting one ;) Thanks for understanding!

Little happy man!

Kristen gave me good news about Gavin today. :) His bone marrow aspiration has come back and he is in remission! And a bit ago, she showed me some new pics and I asked her if I could share them here. Just hearing the news and seeing that little dimpled smile after the awful month he has had, made me feel so happy! Here is Gavin playing with the leukemia awareness bracelets they ordered...if you want one, just visit Gavin's Caring Bridge website and email Kristen. :)

Gavin starts his next round of chemo in just a few days, so please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Leslie's P

The test stitch out went great and I did the embroidery on the diaper this afternoon. I am kinda enjoying digitizing designs...it's challenging and I am learning a lot! :)

Anyway, here is your dipe! The blue is a bit darker than the picture shows...maybe because of my flash.

I will get the embroidery sealed tonight and have it back on it's way in the morning. :)

**edited to add some pics that Leslie sent of her absolutely gorgeous baby in the dipe. Check out those EYES and dimpled smile!!

Kickin' Leukemia's Butt

Gavin is fighting the good fight. He has been feeling pretty icky, but Kristin says he is resting and hopefully will be perking up soon. Kristin, the dipes are done and are in the wash again so they will be ready to be worn as soon as you receive them. I should have them on their way to you tomorrow. Hugs for Gavin.

*edited to add this cute pic of Gavin in his new threads that Kristen sent me this morning! Gavin is doing better, free of tubes and wires for now and will be starting his next round of chemo in a few days. You can check in with his progress at his Caring Bridge site. Kristen has been updating it everyday and I know she appreciates your continued prayers for her little man.
