Hog Heaven

Every August in Sturgis, South Dakota there is a rally. Not just any rally, but the largest organized motorcycle rally in the United States...probably even the world. The Sturgis Rally draws huge crowds each year (6,000+)...the vast majority of which are Harley riders, but there are others...dirt bikers, street sport riders, racers of all types and experience levels.

Being sport bikers (my hubby and I each have a Kawasaki Ninja), Sturgis has never been of real interest to us...but we have friends who ride Harley's, one of which is my husbands boss. My hubby has been after me to make a skull cap as a gift for said boss, so when I saw this rally fabric, I knew it was a winner! Modeled here by my hubby...

I am really liking making fun, non-dipe related things! I think I may make some dresses tomorrow!

Tie a ribbon

Jennifer wanted a dress set that would have some meaning...pink for breast cancer awareness and yellow for those waiting on our soldiers to come home. Gingham on little girls is just darling, so we thought this might work perfectly for her and her daughter!

Pink and yellow reversible swing dress with wool interlock diaper cover
3d wool interlock cover with awareness ribbon embroidery
Cover side snaps in yellow and pink

Customs Updates

My dh is having another surgery on Wednesday and has pre-op stuff happening tomorrow morning, so customs are going to be pushed back a few days. I apologize for this.

Charise, embroidery is complete and I will try to get the diaper put together and out in the mail tomorrow once we get home...at the latest it should be in Wednesday mornings mail.

Jenni, I am going to get your order started tomorrow afternoon and am hoping to have everything ready to go out on Friday afternoon. I am really sorry for the delay.

Laetitia, I am going to stick your 5 emb FBs into the mail tomorrow and will hold on to the 6th for a future embroidery as you have said you are sending more to be done? Please let me know if you see this...I have also sent you an email.

Cheryl...no dipes yet!

DS mommas...you know who you are...PMs for you and please be patient if you don't hear from me for a day or two. Thanks!

A toque and apron

Deanna asked me if I could make a child's toque and apron as a gift for a friend. I just LOVE making all sorts of different things...I haven't made a toque and apron set for a couple years, so I had so much fun doing this one today! It turned out so cute...can't you just picture your little kitchen helper wearing it?!

I love doing embroidery on pocket diapers, it just adds a little bit of style to what is an otherwise boring old diaper! These are some XL Fuzzi Bunz that Laetitia asked me to embroider for her...even though she is on the other side of the world in France! So, they are done and ready to go off into the mail for you Laetitia. I hope you like how they turned out!

Puggles!

I have been working on something different than diapers today! Tonight is awards night for our church's AWANA program. I am the Puggles director...they are 2 year olds, and I had so much fun teaching them this year. As a special treat, I decided to make them each a stuffed puggle (a baby platypus)...I love how they turned out! They are so soft and cute!

WAHM Nation!

I have joined a great new Congo, WAHM Nation! It is a Congo full of other craft artisans like myself, but you will find much more than just cloth diapers! We are having our grand opening on May 10th at 8pm EST. There will be many FFS lottos, so enter to win some free goodies and while you are there, take a look around and see if anything else catches your eye! We hope to see you there! :)
