Secret Sisters

Back in January, our church decided to have a Secret Sister exchange...an opportunity to get to 'know' someone from a form they filled out with likes and dislikes, learn who their spouses and children are, and pray for their family. Over the months I have received many things from my secret sister...a mug, many many gourmet chocolates, a beautiful bead bracelet, hair goodies, and it goes on. I have been very spoiled!

With my hubby's months of illness and subsequent hospitalization, I felt like I was not spoiling my own secret sister enough because I wasn't here...though I did remember her and her family in my prayers and gave the occasional goodie bag as I could. Tonight is our Secret Sister unveiling...a spa night, a night for being pampered...and I wanted to give my secret sis something special that I made myself just for her. I made this tote and filled it with a few of her favorite things...crossword puzzle books, flower seeds, and her favorite chocolates! I hope you enjoy it Mary!

Little Flutterby

Jenni from Lil Bees asked me to do another custom for her, this time a 3d Pocket Diaper for her sisters new baby girl. She wanted something ultra girly and chose the Jacobean Butterfly as the embroidery design.

Candy Corn Monster

Dierdre from Pickled Pandas Designs on Etsy asked me if I would make her a 3d Minkee Pocket Diaper in trade from something from her shop...she has a lot of cool stuff, so I said yes!
Sorry the colors are not quite true...my camera just didn't want to pick them up for some reason. Maybe our lack of sunshine today. Here is Archie the monster with candy corn ears! I just love how this diaper turned out, and Archie is so cute!

Cloth Diaper Nation

After several years posting on a different cloth diapering forum run as a business interest by someone more concerned with bottom line profits than the members that are served, who seems to think censorship is a necessity (regardless that we are all adults and have our big girl panties on) and also always manages to put my anti-virus and spam software into high gear...I found Cloth Diaper Nation. What a fun forum! I feel very involved and connected to the members here after only a month. It is a forum just for the love of cloth diapering and not out to profit from it's members. There are no sidebar ads, and NO constant virus or spam threats!

At nearly 1400 members strong, the "for sale or trade" (FSOT) section is very active, the knowledge base for cloth diaper information is great, and there are a number of other fun forums to keep you involved and active. Best of all, the momma's (and daddy's) are helpful, funny, and nice! It's pretty much a drama free zone as well!
