Taking a hiatus

I have decided to take a much needed break from diaper making. I just stocked my HyenaCart and that will be the last of it for awhile. I do still have a few things up on Etsy and will be removing them at the end of the year if they have not sold.

If you would like to be notified when I decide to reopen, please either comment here or drop me an email at deebleddo@gmail.com.

Thank you for your patronage and friendship!

Christmas time!

It's not my favorite holiday, but it's the first runner up! I have had a nice break these past few weeks and am now back to work and will be stocking my Hyena Cart next Tuesday with a preview here on Monday. I am still closed for new custom orders unless you are a returning customer and don't mind having me fit your order in as I can.

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving with your families and are enjoying the winter holiday season!

*edit to say that I will not be stocking until Wednesday the 10th but should still be able to get previews up tonight. :)

Ordem e Progresso

Jenni, these are done and ready to be sent back. Would you like me to hold them for the dipes, or go ahead and send them now? If your sister might accidentally click on my blog from yours, just let me know and I will remove this post so we don't spoil the surprise!

Congratulations Ali and Craig!

When my husband and I married in 1989, my Aunt Peg embroidered a set of pillowcases for us as a wedding gift. One has fallen apart from use, but I still have the other...it is threadbare and I have no idea how much longer it will last, but I figure nearly 20 years is a pretty good life for a wedding gift, and I have treasured it all these years.

When my baby sister announced that she was to be married, I immediately knew what gift I wanted her to have and thought I would also make the pillowcases as well as embroider them. Well, I have to say, my skills at diaper making are far superior to those of pillowcases! I know, I know, pillowcases are simple!! but, after ruining several yards of OBV in my attempt to make a set of pillowcases, I decided on a purchased set of Egyptian cotton instead. They aren't quite as nice as the OBV would have been, but still are very soft and comfy.

I chose a simple Rosemaling design because they are dainty and elegant and I thought Alison would like it. :) I don't think Alison looks at this blog, so it is safe to post the photo, but just in case she does, I love you both and wish you all the love and happiness that I have had.

Cover for the casting

My lil' sis on Diaper Swappers requested a special 3d Minkee cover for her daughter who is getting a cast in just a few days. Hopefully this will fit just right and be super special for the occasion! Hope you like it Olivia!

Light pink Minkee Dot outer, PUL waterproof layer, Hot pink Minkee Dot inner

Deep purple side snaps on front, light pink on the tabs
I will pop this into this afternoons mail so you should have it by Saturday I would think. :)
